About Olive Root Foundation

The Olive Root Foundation is a mother-daughter nonprofit born out of a deep passion to confront the growing oral health crisis in Uganda and across Africa. Rampant oral disease—driven by poor hygiene, limited education, and a lack of resources—has created an epidemic in many communities.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to bring hope and healing by providing dental care kits and educational resources to those in need. Through this effort, we aim to spark change that takes root and grows into lasting improvement.

The name Olive Root holds special meaning for us. It honors Olive, our beloved Frenchton dog, who offers emotional support to patients at our dental clinic in North Surrey, Riverside Heights Dental. Olive is a source of calm, comfort, and joy to many. Beyond that, the olive tree is a biblical symbol of peace, new beginnings, and divine blessing—values we carry with us as we seek to share God’s love throughout Uganda and beyond.
